Last Thursday, my grandma passed away.
It was the saddest part of my life. I and her were not that close as compared to my other cousins. However, I could feel the loss very deeply. She was a demanding woman and the centre of attention. Though there were some not-so-nice events that happened in our family, I still respect her. She was the one who taught me how to hold chopsticks correctly as well as to fold A4 size paper into a box (for discarding fish bones that kind). I learnt a lot from her, especially the values of life.
婆婆,你永远活在我们的心中。

Fake nail extensions
Just to share my experience which really make me think twice of using fake nail extensions especially for wedding...
I had put on mine during my photoshoot on Monday and guess what, it kept coming off. Had used double-sided tape (now I think it's a rather stupid idea to use it) then it became loose and did not stick well once i washed my hands with soap and water. I switched to putting nail glue and thought that it would be better cos the nail glue is very sticky one loh. BUT some of the fake nails still came off despite putting the nail glue and I had a hard time 'keeping track' on all the nails and sticking them back. It's really mafan loh... and after the photoshoot when I took them off, my nails were a bit damaged. Haiz...
The main reason was that I had to hold on to my gown as I walked and the fake nails came into contact with the gown a lot of times and they somehow became loose as time passed by. I think i will not put on any fake nail extensions in future. Rather do my own nail painiting or go to a salon for manicure... no more extensions!

Update
Hey guys, finally i'm back updating my blog again. Had been very busy with work and preparation of my wedding photoshoot which was yesterday. hehe...
Last saturday (4/10/2008), i went to A*Mei 张惠妹's concert. I've gone to her concert last year and was really amazed by her singing live at the concert. This round is her encore concert and it's really even better than last year's. Although her opening song was the same as last year's, the songs she sang subsequently, like 勇敢, 我要快乐, etc were those she never sang before in last year's. She indeed covered alot of songs which she did not sing in last year's concert. She even sang the japanese song, theme song from the musical Turandot, a Japanese musical which she acted in Tokyo. This song was not even released in the market loh. I will go n learn the lyrics and hopefully one day, sing in ktv when the ktv version is released... hehe.
Here are some of the pics which I took at the concert:
Yesterday, I had my wedding photoshoot. Was very excited and couldn't sleep early the night before despite reminding myself over and over again to have a good night's sleep. My husband and me arrived at the bridal studio at 10am as I had to do my make-up and hair-do. We began the photoshoot at about 11am and we wore the traditional kua first. My husband brought his chihuahua, Mr Sand, for the photoshoot. He was very scared at first as he was at an unfamiliar place. The photographer was very friendly and jovial and taught us how to put our best smiles and poses in front of his camera. Mr Sand also had different costumes, from Japanese style to the English tuxedo. haha. My husband had to calm him down and carry him to the indoor photoshoot studio. Altogether we wore 4 different kinds of costumes and gown for the indoor shoot (the traditional kua followed by Japanese kimono, evening gown and wedding gown).
After the indoor photoshoot, we had our lunch (which was about 3.30pm liao lor). Was super hungry but at the same time couldn't eat much. Then the worst thing which we feared happened... the rain started to pour. Omg... we were supposed to go for outdoor photoshoot loh... How could we go for the shoot in this kind of rain? We went online (thanks to my sister-in-law's bf who used his laptop; the bridal studio there actually hv wireless@sg network!) to check out the weather forecast. We had decided to go to Botanical Gardens, the HortPark and Fullerton area for the outdoor photoshoot. Then we managed to get an update on the weather near Botanical his friend who happened to live near Botanical Gardens... Still raining there but could try to go. We decided to 'hiong hiong' go. If reach there still raining, bo bian hv to postpone. Luckily, lady luck was on our side. When we reach Botanical Gardens, the rain had stopped le. We quickly took our photos and proceed to the HortPark as it was getting late. When we finished our shoots at the HortPark, it was already about 7.30pm liao. No time to go to Fullerton area. Haiz... Nevermind, tentatively, we decide to have another photoshoot on our 1st wedding anniversary at the Fullerton area and the Changi Airport.
It was really tired after all the photoshoot.. but I really enjoyed it and find that it was very fun. Oh ya... let u guys see a photo of me here which my hubby took 'secretly' at the bridal studio...
ok lah... time to sleep le... back to the hectic world of work tomorrow.
